Video chat allows you to connect more directly with members by talking with them in real time via your device's camera. It's a great way to shorten the distance and get closer digitally before safely meeting up outside of SCRUFF.
NOTE: Video chat is currently only available as a beta release in certain regions. Both users must be in the same beta region to make a video call.
- From within the chat, tap the video camera icon.
- You will be taken to a holding screen, where you'll need to confirm in order to initiate the call.
- When the other member accepts, the video call will start.
NOTE: There are a few requirements for video chat:
- Both members must have exchanged messages within the previous 10 days.
- Both members must have video chat setting enabled.
- Both members must be on SCRUFF version 6.54 or later.
Video chat is enabled by default. To disable video chat:
- From any member grid, tap Profile (bottom menu bar) > Settings > Privacy Settings.
- Under the section Video Chat, tap the toggle off.
- To enable it again, tap the toggle on.
