Moments let you share short-lived photos or videos with targeted audiences for a limited time. They’re perfect for quick updates and disappear automatically after a selected duration (12, 24, 48, or 72 hours).

Post a Moment

1. Tap Inbox from the bottom menu bar.
   
2. At the top, tap your profile avatar:
   
1. No active Moments: Tap your avatar to create one.
   
2. Active Moments: Tap + on your avatar to add a new one. (Tapping your avatar instead lets you view or delete your current Moments.)
   
3. Add content:
   
1. Take a photo/video in-app, or
   
2. Select a photo from your gallery (photos only; videos from gallery not supported).
   
4. Crop & review, choose the duration (12, 24, 48, or 72 hours), then tap Next.
   
5. Choose who can see it:
   
1. Select one or multiple Lists.
   
2. Use Send Directly to select specific members.
   
6. Tap Share to post.
   

 You can post up to 8 Moments at a time.

View Moments

1. Tap Inbox in the bottom menu bar.
   
2. Tap a profile avatar at the top to view that member’s active Moments.
   
3. Moments automatically disappear after the selected duration.
   

Delete a Moment

1. Tap Inbox, then your profile avatar. Open the Moment you want to delete.
   
2. Tap ⋮ Menu → Delete → Confirm.
   

Respond to a Moment

1. Tap Reply while viewing a Moment.
   
2. This starts a 1:1 chat with the member who posted it.
   

Mute Another User's Moments

1. While viewing their Moment, tap ⋮ Menu → Mute.
2. From your Inbox, long-press their avatar and tap Mute.

1. Tap Account → Settings → Muted Members.
   
2. Select the member you'd like to unmute, then tap Done.
   

Report a Moment

• While viewing a Moment, tap ⋮ Menu.
  
• Select Report, then choose a reason.

Nearby Moments

Nearby Moments lets you share your Moment with members who are currently close to your location, even if you haven't chatted with them before. When creating a Moment, select Nearby as one of your targeting options. You can combine Nearby with other Lists or Direct Send to broaden your audience.

• Sensitive content in Nearby Moments is only delivered to members who have opted in via their account settings.
• Sexually explicit content cannot be shared publicly, including via Nearby and Tap-Ins.
  
• Blocked members cannot see your Moments, including via Nearby and Tap-Ins

✨ NEW Sensitive Content Section

You can configure how sensitive content appears in public Moments under Privacy Settings > Content Filters in your account settings. These settings can only be configured in an external browser.

Content Filters give you separate controls for two content types:

1. Explicit: Full-frontal nudity and other explicit content.
   
2. Suggestive: Sexually suggestive content, including partial nudity.
   

For each, choose one of the following:

1. Show: Content is fully visible with no blur.
2. Blur (default): Content is blurred. Tap to unblur.
3. Hide: Content is hidden entirely.

These settings only apply to publicly shared Moments, such as Nearby and Tap-Ins. Moments sent directly to your inbox are not moderated.

✨ NEW Tap-In Section

Tap-Ins let you attach a prompt to your Moment and invite others to respond with their own.

When you add a Tap-In to your Moment, viewers can tap the prompt to see everyone who's already responded and then post their own Moment to join the thread. Think of it like a chain letter, but make it visual.

Creating a Tap-In

1. While creating a Moment, tap the Tap-In sticker option.
   
2. Write your prompt (e.g., "Show your gym selfie" or "What are you wearing tonight?").
3. Post your Moment as usual.

Joining a Tap-In

1. Tap the Tap-In sticker on any Moment.
2. Browse everyone who's already responded.
3. Tap Join In to post your own Moment in response.

A few things to know:

1. Tap-In threads are always public. They cannot be set to private.
2. Suggestive and explicit content is allowed in Tap-Ins and will be visible to members who have opted in via their Content Filter settings.
3. Sexually Explicit content cannot be shared via Tap-Ins.
4. Blocked members cannot see your Moments, including via Tap-Ins.
5. From the thread, you can message or view profiles just like a regular Moment.

Privacy & Control

1. Targeting: Share to specific Lists or use Direct Send.
   
2. Moments Favorites Folder: This gives you a second Favorites folder separate from your existing one. The idea is to keep one folder for your general favorites and another for the people you want to share more with when posting Moments.
   
3. Exclusions: Long-press a List to exclude certain users.
   
4. Blocked members: Blocked members cannot see your Moments.
   
5. Screenshots: Blocked within Moments for your privacy.
   

1. iOS: SCRUFF → Account → Settings → Privacy settings → Notifications & alerts: Moments (toggle on to disable)
   
2. Android: Settings → Notifications → SCRUFF → Moments (toggled off to disable)
   

Note:Samsung users must first enable notification channels (Settings → Notifications → Advanced settings → Manage channels/categories toggled on)

Troubleshooting

1. Can’t see a Moment? It may still be delivering, expired, or the sender needs to update their app.
   
2. Moment failed to send? You’ll see an error screen, then retry posting.
   
3. Uploaded photo was rejected? Moments does not accept screenshots. Try using a photo taken with your camera instead. Only photos from the last 6 months are accepted.
