Read Receipts
WHAT IS A READ RECEIPT?
A read receipt enables Pro members to see if a message they have sent has been read.
STATUS OF READ RECEIPTS
- Sending - Your message is being sent from your device to the servers.
- (Pro) Sent - Your message has been received by the servers and will be delivered to the other member.
- (Free) Has your message been read? - Your message has been received by the servers and will be delivered to the other member.
- (Pro) Read - Your message has been seen and read by the other member.
DISABLING READ RECEIPTS
- Pro members may disable read receipts as of version 7.40.
- Pro members who have disabled read receipts will also not be able to view read receipts of other members.
If you are subscribed to Pro, follow the steps below to disable read receipts in your conversations:
- In the app on the Browse tab, tap Account (top-right).
- Go to Settings (gear icon).
- Tap Privacy settings.
- In the Chats section, set the toggle to ON. This will hide receipt statuses in your chats.
Disabling Read Receipts is only available to PRO users.
