Send animated GIFs in chat

In SCRUFF version 5.1 and up, you can share animated GIFs in chat. For the best experience, we recommend sending animated GIFs using a 3rd party GIF keyboard or sending a GIF file saved on your device. 

 

Android

Saved on your Android device

  1. Open the message with the member with whom you want to share an animated GIF
  2. Tap the Send Photo icon send_photo.svg at the top of the chat screen
  3. Tap Library and select the saved GIF file from your library
  4. Tap the checkmark to confirm your GIF file selection and tap Send

  1. From a chat message
  2. Tap the photo-gif_copy.svg icon in the chat bar
  3. Search for your desired GIF
  4. Tap on the GIF you wish to send 

NOTE: Sending links to GIF files in chat is not currently supported.
