Verify system time

Verify system time

If you are receiving the error message "Please ensure your system time is set correctly" when attempting to reload the online or nearby grids, your system time and/or time zone may be incorrect. Your system time and timezone should match the physical location of your device.

To confirm your Date and Time settings, try the following steps on your device:

  1. Navigate to your device's home screen
  2. Press the MENU button
  3. Select Settings
  4. Select Date and time
  5. Make sure that the option Automatic: Use network-provided values is checked
  6. Restart device

NOTE: If you are on a device that is WiFi only, you may not see the "Automatic: Use network-provided values" option. In that case, please ensure that both your time and time zone are correct. In most cases, devices that experienced this error had correctly set times but incorrect time zones.

  1. Open the iOS Settings app
  2. Select General
  3. Select Date & Time
  4. Make sure Set Automatically is set to ON
  5. Restart device

NOTE: If you are on a device that is WiFi only, you may not see the "Automatic: Use network-provided values" option. In that case, please ensure that both your time and time zone are correct. In most cases, devices that experienced this error had correctly set times but incorrect time zones.
